The Bay of Fires and Binalong Bay showcase stunning white sandy beaches and amazing red lichen covered rocks in secluded bays.
Explore nearby Taylor's Beach and The Gardens just north of Binalong Bay.
The bay was given its name in 1773 by Captain Tobias Furneaux in Adventure, who saw the fires of Aboriginal people on the beaches.

Pick up from Launceston CBD at 08:30;

Scottsdale:- Visit the NE agricultural hub of Tasmania and pause for morning tea;

Legerwood:- Stop and admire the amazing avenue of memorial tree carvings;

Mt Victoria:- Pass over this fascinating landscape to reach Pyengana via 4WD (subject to road conditions);

Pyengana:- Call into the Pyengana Pub in the Paddock or stop at the Cheese Factory to taste some fine cheese varieties;

St Columba Falls:- Stop at St Columba Falls State Reserve which is home to elusive platypuses and view the 90m waterfall after a 15 minute walk;

St Helens:- Stop at St Helens for lunch;

Binalong Bay:- is home to the start of the Bay of Fires where we will find many fantastic beaches, plenty of small secluded rocky gulches and return to Launceston via St Marys.
