Heading to the snow for the first time is easier than you think.  On Ben Lomond you can hire ski and snowboard equipment, toboggans, waterproof après boots and waterproof jackets and pants. You will need to bring a beanie, goggles or sunglasses, warm socks and gloves. Sunscreen is also a must.  See Ben Lomond Sports here.

Do I need a lesson?  10:00 or 12:00 start time.

Yes, if you have never been skiing or snowboarding before you should take a lesson. Your experience and time on the slopes will be more enjoyable learning from an experienced Snowsports Instructor. If you have skiied or snowboarded before, it is advisable to have a lesson to improve and develop your skills and ski lessons operate at 10:00 or 12:00.
